PANOS GEORGIOU
Panos became one of the first people to join Palta and has been the legal counsel for Alexey Gubarev, Yuri Gurski, and the other partners for the last seven years. With a background as Legal Counsel for a number of international corporations, including the role of CEO with special expertise in IT law, Panos is also certified as an internal auditor under the ISO 9001:2008 quality management standard.
Panos holds a first-class degree in law from Bristol Law School, a Master's in EU Commercial Law from the University of Leicester, and a second Master's in IT Law from the University of Strathclyde.

1. What is your role at Palta?
I am the Legal Counsel and have sat on the Board of Directors since the company was founded. I sign off all paperwork for Palta and most of our portfolio companies. I manage the group payments and all the associated legal aspects. And I am also responsible for managing our office in Cyprus.
2. Could you share a story of how Palta started?
When Yuri and Alex decided to form Palta with its first two promising projects, Flo and Prisma, they supported them out of their own pockets. Since then we have developed an extensive network of partners with a track record in successfully growing global companies.
3. Does the team get on well together?
Yes, we have developed a great working relationship here - especially as most of us are located in our HQ in Cyprus. Our portfolio companies are located all over the world, and even though we mostly communicate via email, we really enjoy our time when we get together in Cyprus.
4. How do you see the future of the Palta and its portfolio companies?
I see how founders and the team members are really in love with their projects, how passionate they are. More than just work, it's an addiction and so it's easy to see why our companies are doing so well. I believe in the next few years we will accomplish great things together.
5. What is the best thing about Cyprus?
The beautiful beaches. If you ever visit, I recommend Petra tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite's rock – the birthplace of Aphrodite, and the Blue Lagoon Beach in Akamas, Paphos.
