1. What is your role at Palta?
When I joined the company in 2019, it was a successful venture builder and a team of serial entrepreneurs. Together we shaped the company's vision and transformed it into Palta - a family of health brands - as you know it today.
2. What is so unique about Palta's approach?
I think it's our expertise in building mobile apps and an accumulation of skills you don't find anywhere else. That's why the co-founders who work with Palta grow far more exponentially than those who go it alone. Our companies work on really important challenges to make a positive impact on a global scale. This kind of ambition attracts great people, and when they work together great things really do happen.
3. How do you personally help companies?
As a founder of one of the biggest European VC funds, I have developed a wide network of tech expertise across Europe and around the world. So when it comes to helping our co-founders with hiring key employees, forming strategic partnerships, or raising capital, I often know someone who can help.
4. Going global is important. How do you obtain a global mindset from Day 1?
Your choice of a business model automatically defines your strategy of going global. There are no "none-global" mobile apps. So to put it simply, co-founders who were born and raised in one country now need to understand and build the needs of customers in the US and other important markets into their ideas and strategies. Those able to grasp that vision can go on to create truly successful mobile apps.
5. What is your favorite city on a global tech map — and why?
Distributed teams and remote working were a growing trend even before the pandemic. Now, of course, they have become ubiquitous. So why choose one city when we can have it all enjoy the best of different cities? I would choose London for branding and marketing, Berlin for sales...but why stop there? Countless cities all offer their own specialist sectors. Remote working opens up this new world of opportunities as the need to be physically present fast diminishes.
